MBK Ergo/Ortho is a dye sub keycap set (PBT) for Choc switches inspired by classic keycap sets.  Ergo/Ortho offers broad versatility for many of the low-profile switch keyboards available today. Icons were designed to compliment the letter legends, referencing the line weight and proportions. The main goal of this set is to integrate the alphas and icon mods to create a set that will always look balanced in even the most exotic layouts or rotated thumb clusters.

This set includes all keys necessary for Ortholinear boards (40% and 60%) as well as most Ergo boards. There are alphas, different sized mods, and number keys. Please reference the layout photos to view specific details.

MBK Keycaps are the most popular low profile keycap option, and for good reason. With their comfortable texture and high quality heavy PBT plastic these are some of the best keycaps you can use with Kailh Choc switches. After seeing the popularity of MBK Legend, the designer and manufacturer MKTN opted to offer a trimmed-down set made specifically for use with 40% keyboards.

MBK 40s sets come with enough legended caps to fill a 40% keyboard, such as the Corne, Kyria, 4x12, and many other 40% keyboards. The set is of course also compatible with any smaller board such as the Microdox or Ferris.

MBK Legend‡ is the first dye sub keycap set (PBT) for Choc switches. Inspired by classic keycap legend design, Legend‡ offers broad versatility for many of the low-profile switch boards available today. The typeface was chosen for its even-feeling letterform design and historical characteristics. Icons were designed to compliment the letterforms, referencing the line weight and proportions. The idea? Integrate the alphas and icon mods to create a set that will always look balanced in even the most exotic layouts or rotated thumb clusters.

The kits include three colorways: Black on White, White on Black, and Legend. For now all alphas and mods can be mixed and matched to preference and extra homing keys are included in all of our alpha kits to cover a wide variety of layouts (including Colemak, Dvorak, Workman, etc.), as well as 2 homing blanks for those rare souls that just need more. Hiragana alphas? Done.

MBK Glow is a beautiful low profile Choc keycap set with an extremely smooth surface and comfortable sculpt. Name 'Glow' due to the shine-through legends on each cap the set pairs beautifully with per-key RGB (the set of course also looks great without RGB). These key caps are the same overall MBK shape we love but now feature an abs coating that is laser etched off to provide the shine-through legend. MBK Glow offers the best support you can possibly get in a low profile keycap set in terms of fitting various layouts and boards. The set pairs beautifully with the Corne LP, Technik and Beiwagen. If you're a fan of low pro or want to get into it, do NOT miss out on these keycaps.


Material & Quality

Material is ABS (the most common option for shinethrough keycaps) and legends are laser etched, based on MBK Legend‡ design, carefully adapted to shine uniformly using the small LED window in Kailh Choc switches.

Exception made to 1.5 and 2u that are PBT (basically the same MBK keycaps you may know), but covered with the same material as ABS, to match the color and texture of the others.
